Illustrations that depict animal-friendly handling

As veterinarians exclusively dedicated to clinical ethology with certifications in small-animal friendly handling and in-hospital wellbeing, our focus during the process of illustrating the book was on ensuring accuracy and relevance of every detail depicted. We set out to reflect everyday situations that highlight healthy, friendly pratices towards animals. We paid special attention to details that convey empathy and care, such as having aromatherapy in the dog hospital or giving them treats during a visit in order to reduce stress. Collaboration was fundamental to guarantee that each illustration complies with the  ethical and educational standards we expected. The work we did with the other professionals in the team (illustrators, graphic designers, etc.) resulted in charming graphics that promote one of the main purposes of this book: educating children and their familities about the importance of respecting and caring for animals.
